November 26, 2024, Saitama, Japan - Tamron Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Shogo Sakuraba; Headquarters: Saitama City), a leading manufacturer of optics for diverse applications, announces a new firmware update scheduled on November 26, 2024, for 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 (Model A065) for Sony E-mount.
With this new firmware update, AF performance during zooming will be improved when shooting videos and still images (in AF-C mode). Additionally, with α9 III, when its focus mode is set to AF-S, DMF, or MF, it will support continuous shooting at up to approximately 120 frames per second.
